The World Economic Forum said on 20 December that it will defer its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, amid continued uncertainty over the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant.

The Geneva-based organisation said the meeting, originally scheduled at the Swiss ski resort of Davos-Klosters for 17 to 21 January, is now planned for the early summer.
