DCM House of the Year – Barclays

DCM House of the Year – Barclays

Financial News last night hosted its 13th annual awards for excellence in European investment banking. The awards were presented at a dinner held at The Magazine restaurant at London's Serpentine Sackler Gallery.

The award for debt capital markets house has typically gone to US banks in the past, but Europeans fared best this year in the eyes of our judges. Barclays’ European debt capital markets business remains the jewel in the crown of its European investment bank. The UK lender retained its second place in Dealogic’s rankings for European DCM, and grabbed the top spot in both Sterling-denominated DCM and sovereign, supranational and agency issuances. It also jumped three places to rank second for European FIG DCM, executing, among its deals, a £400 million offering of tier two notes for the UK insurer Aviva.
