De Sèze set to make surprise return to PAI Partners

Former president of French buyout firm has nearly '100%' support from investors

Amaury de Sèze, chairman of the supervisory board of French supermarket chain Carrefour, is understood to be set for a return to PAI Partners after the top management was replaced at the private equity firm last week.

De Sèze was president of PAI Partners from 1998 to October 2007 and led its independence from French bank Paribas in 1999 after its merger with Banque Nationale de Paris to form BNP Paribas.
