Barack Obama may boast a healthy $5m (€4m) to his name, but in a US President Rich List compiled by a US magazine, the incumbent is a relative pauper. In fact, Obama is the poorest president since World War II. And his wealth pales into insignificance compared to George Washington, who (accounting for inflation, obviously) was worth $525m.

The presidential rich list was compiled by The Atlantic Monthly, which calculated all the wealth of all 43 presidents in US dollars, as of 2010. http://bit.ly/dzBUtH
