Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) is offering transition management as a standalone service for UK institutional investors, becoming only the fifth fund manager to do so.

DeAM will join Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Barclays Global Investors, State Street Global Advisors and Frank Russell, the multi-manager and investment consultant. Transition managers implement the sometimes radical changes to an institutional investor's portfolio that happen when the investor changes fund managers.
