Deutsche Asset Management has named its global head of equities as the successor to Axel Benkner, the former head of DWS Investments, its retail arm, who stepped down at the beginning of this month.

Klaus Kaldemorgen will assume the role of speaker of the board of DWS Investments, but will retain his existing responsibilities as global equities head. He will also continue to manage funds at DWS.
