Steven Bell, who left last October as global chief economist and head of UK multi-asset investments at Deutsche Asset Management, has resurfaced at hedge fund company GLC. He had been at Deutsche for 21 years.

Bell will launch a global macro fund which will be modelled on the business he ran at Deutsche, as head of multi-asset investments, one of seven new specialist investment teams created in response to a decline in popularity of traditional balanced funds.
