Debt downgrades for Goldman, Merrill and Morgan Stanley

Wall Street's big three traditional investment banking houses all suffered debt rating downgrades because of the poor state of the securities and investment banking business.

Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch each had their short term credit ratings lowered one notch by Standard & Poor's, the rating agency.
