Delay over NatWest money laundering probe angers MPs

Lawmakers have expressed their frustration that a recent prosecution of NatWest over money laundering failures took five years to reach its conclusion, as MPs on an influential committee ask the regulator why the case took so long.

In a landmark court hearing on 7 October, NatWest pleaded guilty after failing to adequately monitor some £365m in suspect client deposits.
