A former head of Bear Stearns in France and adviser to the French government on sovereign wealth funds, Alain Demarolle, has left Eton Park after three years at the hedge fund.

In a note to friends and colleagues this week, seen by Financial News, Demarolle said he was leaving the company to pursue new, as yet undisclosed, challenges.
