Denmark launches its first ever inflation-linked bonds

Investors so keen on the issue they placed DKR10bn worth of orders

Institutional investors’ appetite for inflation-linked bonds is big and growing. The bonds – known as linkers – are the single most popular investment among UK and continental European pension funds, investment consultants Mercer noted last week.

This bodes well for the long-term success of Europe's newest inflation-linked bond market, Denmark. Last week, the Danish government issued its first-ever linkers, worth DKR6bn ($1bn).
