Depolarisation to open up UK banks for third-party funds

UK investment houses will have greater scope to sell retail funds and unit trusts through high street banks and other institutions following efforts by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to improve investor choice.

Draft rules from the UK regulator proposing the depolarisation of the UK fund market will open up UK banks and insurers to third-party fund distribution, according to consultants.
