Derek Higgs is to step down from the board of Prudential, the UK's second largest insurer, in November and will resign as chairman of M&G, its fund unit.
The former Warburg corporate chief will remain as a director of the Pru's internet bank Egg. He will be replaced on the Pru board by Michael McLintock, chief executive of M&G.
