Deutsche Bank bans ‘unnecessary’ travel for junior bankers

Troubled German lender steps up cost-cutting drive

Deutsche Bank bans ‘unnecessary’ travel for junior bankers

Deutsche Bank has rolled out a new cost-cutting initiative, banning junior bankers from accompanying seniors on “unnecessary” business trips to its offices across the world unless they are seeing clients.

In the latest drive to cut costs at the German lender, junior and mid-ranking bankers — analysts, associates and vice presidents — will not be allowed to travel with managing directors and directors.
