Deutsche Bank paid €2.1bn ($2.2bn) in bonuses to its staff for 2022, in line with a year earlier even as rivals have taken an axe to compensation.

The bonus awards for Deutsche Bank come after a 13% rise in payments a year earlier when banks hauled in record fees from dealmaking.
