Deutsche's Jacksonville appointment mirrors Birmingham ambitions

German bank is building operations in the southeastern US that are similar to the front-office centre it has created in Birmingham in the UK

Deutsche Bank has named its first regional head of offices in the southeastern US, as it continues a strategy of building lower-cost, front-office centres outside of major financial hubs.

The German bank has named Leslie Slover as regional head of Jacksonville, Florida and Cary, North Carolina, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News. Slover was previously head of technology and operations service centres for the Americas and prior to that role worked in New York as chief operating officer for corporate banking and securities in North America.
