Deutsche Bank names IT chief for €13bn digital drive

Former AQR exec will help oversee a spending programme announced alongside the German lender's restructuring last week

Deutsche Bank has hired a new head of IT, charged with improving and streamlining its technology systems and helping to oversee a €13bn spending programme over the next three years.

Neal Pawar, chief technology officer at quant fund manager AQR, will start at Deutsche Bank in New York in September. He will also serve on the bank’s management committee.
