Deutsche Bank’s profits to smash gloomy predictions

Deutsche Bank has made second quarter profits of around €700m, smashing analysts expectations during a period of turmoil for the German lender.

Deutsche’s expected profits, which are more than double the average analyst estimates, triggered an ad hoc announcement from the bank in line with German regulator’s guidelines today. It will formally announce its results on 25 July.
