Deutsche Bank has acquired the City's biggest broker, Numis, in a £410m deal that will hand the German lender 170 UK corporate clients in one fell swoop.

The German lender has bolstered its UK investment banking unit by the acquisition of Numis, the biggest corporate broker that has been expanding beyond its traditional business into dealmaking in recent years.
