Deutsche Bank has hired an equity capital markets banker for its German business from Merrill Lynch, in the latest of a wave of departures and hires of equity bankers at the two banks.

Marius Zuberburler, a vice-president in Merrill Lynch's equity capital markets business, has quit the bank to join Deutsche Bank's London office.
