Deutsche Börse has for the first time introduced a cap on annual pay for its chief executive Carsten Kengeter and other members of the German exchange group's executive board.

The move will see annual pay, comprising salary, bonuses and pension entitlements for each member of the five-strong executive board, restricted to a maximum of €9.5m, Deutsche Börse said in a statement today.
