Slump in US options trading market could cause German exchange to book impairment charges at ISE

German exchange operator Deutsche Börse late on Wednesday reported a slight increase in third-quarter net profit but warned it could book impairment charges at its US-based International Securities Exchange unit.

Net profit for the third quarter was €161.3m, compared with €158.3m in the year ago period. Analysts expected a profit of €146m for the period.
