Deutsche Börse shortens trading hours on Xetra

Deutsche Börse, the German stock exchange operator, is shortening trading hours on Xetra, its electronic platform, following pressure from market participants to align with other European exchanges.

As of November 3, trading on Xetra will open at 09:00 local time and close at 17:30 instead of the current closing time of 20:00. The move comes two months after the exchange admitted that it was considering changing trading times.
