Deutsche Börse to appeal Neuer Markt rulings

Deutsche Börse will appeal against a court decision last week which stopped the exchange from delisting two companies on the Neuer Markt for not meeting its new listings requirements.

The decision to appeal marks a stepping up of Deutsche Börse's campaign to apply the new listings requirements that were introduced at the beginning of October. Under the new rules, which were designed to improve transparency and restore investor confidence in the Neuer Markt, Deutsche Börse will effectively kick out companies which are insolvent or which have a share price of less than €1 and market capitalisation of less than €20m ($17.9m).
