One of Deutsche Bank’s most senior investment bankers in France has left to join rival UBS, bolstering a franchise hit last year by the departure of two of the Swiss bank’s biggest rainmakers in the country.

Jérôme Peltier, who was co-head of global banking for Deutsche Bank in France alongside Bruno Hallak, will join the Swiss bank as co-head of the investment banking division for France after a period of gardening leave, according to a statement, working alongside co-head Charles-Henri Le-Bret.
