The chief of energy markets at Australia's Macquarie Bank in London has resigned to join Deutsche Bank as head of commodities for Asia, as the German bank continues to restaff its global energy business.

Simon Grenfell will take up his new post at Deutsche in the autumn, according to SparkSpread, the online energy news service.
