Deutsche Bank Securities, a US division of the German bank, has boosted its mergers and acquisitions practice with the appointment of Goldman Sachs' Jean Manas as managing director and vice-chairman of M&A.

Manas will focus on the bank's highest-priority clients and major M&A advisory assignments in a new role. He will be based in New York and report to James Stynes, head of M&A in the Americas.
