Deutsche Bank has hired Zia Huque, co-head of debt syndicate for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) at Merrill Lynch, as head of its European and Asia-Pacific debt syndicate team.

The German bank has also rehired David Lasky, who left in 2000 to join the emerging market debt origination team at Credit Suisse First Boston. Lasky, who is understood to be on gardening leave, will rejoin Deutsche in an emerging market origination role.
