Deutsche Bank has appointed David Nicholls to the newly created role of head of global finance in London.

Nicholls, who joined Deutsche in 1996 and is head of the bank's global markets division in Canada, will take up his new role in January, reporting to Lou Ghirardello, European head of global finance.
