Deutsche pays four directors €28m

Deutsche Bank paid out more than €28m ($34m) in salaries, bonuses and payments in kind last year to the four members of its board of managing directors. It includes a €6.57m cash bonus to chairman of the group executive committee Josef Ackermann, on top of his €1.15m basic salary.

Ackermann, who is fighting "breach of trust" charges in connection with bonus payments made to executives as part of Vodafone's £100bn (€149bn) hostile takeover of Mannesmann of Germany in 2000, also picked up Deutsche Bank shares and performance related options.
