Bankers for Deutsche Post, the German state postal service which has debuted on the Deutsche Börse, have hailed the float as a success despite a minimal share price rise during early trading.
Shares in Deutsche Post, which is the largest IPO in Germany this year, opened at €21.01 ($17.83), having been priced over the weekend at €21, at the midpoint of the €18 to €23 indicative range. The shares then had to fight very hard to make relatively small gains.
