Deutsche Bank's profits plummet by 45% year on year in the third quarter as its heavily restructured corporate and investment banking division continued to underperform.

Germany's biggest bank on Wednesday reported pre-tax profits of €506m for the three months to the end of September. Group revenues dropped 9% to €6.2bn. The figures matched a gloomy set of analyst forecasts that sent the bank's share price tumbling late last week.
