Deutsche Bank has hired a senior banker for its team advising financial institutions — which has been hit by numerous departures over the past year.

Nick Wrightson, a former Nomura, Royal Bank of Scotland and Merrill Lynch investment banker who has latterly been providing early stage capital to the fintech sector, joined Deutsche Bank earlier this month as a managing director in its financial institutions group, according to a person familiar with the move.
