Deutsche Bank's European utilities business has been given a further boost as the bank is advising US-based UtiliCorp on its $2.1bn (€2.3bn) acquisition of Midlands Electricity, based in the UK.
It is the first time Deutsche has worked for UtiliCorp on a European mergers and acquisitions deal. Rob Gray, global head of energy and utilities at Deutsche Bank, said: "There has been a long-term relationship with UtiliCorp, principally originating out of the Australian office, and now the global relationship includes the North American and European teams as well."
