Deutsche Bank has secured the role of joint corporate broker to Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch conglomerate, a year after banks began pitching for the mandate.
Unilever already uses UBS Warburg as corporate broker, and Deutsche Bank will be working alongside the Swiss bank. Unilever decided around a year ago that it wanted to bring another broker on board, and several banks started pitching for the mandate. It is understood that Credit Suisse First Boston and ABN Amro were among the banks to pitch.
