Deutsche Bank faces a fresh wave of departures in London as senior employees concede a merger with Commerzbank would spell the end of its global investment banking ambitions.
Deutsche confirmed on March 17 that it has entered formal talks with Commerzbank over a potential deal that would create one of Europe’s largest banks, with €1.9tn in assets and more than 140,000 employees.
