The City of London Corporation has given the go-ahead to a 56-storey office development known colloquially as The Cheesegrater 2, despite complaints that it will spoil views of St Paul’s Cathedral.
The corporation’s planning and transportation committee on Tuesday voted 21-2 in favour of approving a Hong Kong developer’s plans for a new building on the site of 100, 106 and 107 Leadenhall Street. The buildings currently on the site will be demolished.
