Dickinson quits Merrill Lynch for private equity firm

Daniel Dickinson has quit as co-head of Merrill Lynch's mergers and acquisitions department to become a managing director at Washington DC-based private equity group Thayer Capital Partners.

Dickinson joins Thayer Capital Partners on March 1, and will be focusing on growth manufacturing businesses, said Barry Johnson, chief financial officer at Thayer.
