Dillon Read Capital Management, the hedge fund set up by former UBS investment bank chief executive John Costas, has made what is thought to be its first external hire.

Stefan Tsonev will become head of credit trading and joins from JP Morgan, where he was a credit trader in the London office. A spokesman for UBS in New York declined to comment.
