Morgan Stanley's German head steps aside

Dirk Notheis takes a leave of absence amid public scrutiny of emails he sent to a regional politician

US investment bank Morgan Stanley said on Monday its German head would take a leave of absence, as public pressure over emails he exchanged with a regional politician intensified.

Dirk Notheis has handed over responsibilities as head of Germany, according to a spokesman for Morgan Stanley, who declined to comment further.
