A disciplinary hearing has been set for KPMG and some of its former and current staff over allegations they provided false or misleading information to the accounting watchdog for inspections of Carillion and Regenersis.

The Financial Reporting Council said it will hold the hearing on 10 January to consider the complaint against the Big Four firm. The allegations relate to information it provided for a Carillion audit for the year to 31 December 2016, as well as the financial statements of Regenersis for the year ending 30 June 2014.
