The Bank of England has warned that a “disorderly” crash-out Brexit could cause more damage to the UK economy than the global financial crisis.

The UK economy would contract by 8% in the year following such a scenario, the Bank said, publishing its analysis of the impact of Brexit on November 28. The economy contracted by 6.25% in the two years following the 2008 crisis.
