DLA, the UK law firm, has hired Andrew Harris, a senior equity partner at rival SJ Berwin, following the departure of its private equity head, Andrew Carpenter, in June.

It is part of recent flurry of hires among a UK law firms trying to cash in on the increasing number of private equity-backed M&A deals.
