Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette has hired Jean-Philippe Sacau as a managing director and head of European equity-linked origination in its European equity capital markets group.

Sacau has spent his entire 14-year career at Paribas, which merged with BNP last year, and has worked on such deals as the recent Vivendi/BSkyB exchangeable bond. He leaves the French bank in London as joint head of equity syndicate and head of primary equity-linked.
