Dorset County Council's pension scheme has given £22.5m (€32.5m) mandates to Gottex Asset Management and Pioneer Alternative Investments, two fund of hedge funds managers.

The mandates represent about 5% of the £840m of assets in the scheme. The council selected the managers with the advice of bfinance, an investment consultant.
