Doughty Hanson hires Florman to head up Nordic team

Doughty Hanson, the pan-European private equity firm, has lured Mark Florman away from a twenty-year career in investment banking, to head up its Nordic activities.

Florman was previously chief operating officer at ArosMaizels Corporate Finance, the Nordic investment bank owned by Nordea. He left Enskilda Securities in 1992 to found Maizels, Westerberg, the mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and structured finance firm. The firm was later merged with Nordea's Swedish and Finnish corporate finance businesses to form MNB Maizels. Florman was co-chief executive of MNB Maizels, which then became ArosMiazels.
