Doughty snaps up Moeller for €1.1bn

Advent International, a European buy-out house, has sold Moeller, a German electricity components manufacturer, for €1.1bn ($1.3bn) after just 18 months in a secondary sale to rival Doughty Hanson.

Advent is thought to have paid between €500m and €700m for Moeller, then loss-making, at the end of 2003, although financial details were not disclosed.
