Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (DrKB) has hired Mary Pieterse-Bloem from BNP Paribas to run its debt origination effort for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Pieterse-Bloem was co-head of EMEA origination at BNP Paribas for the past year. A longstanding Paribas employee, she was previously the bank's lead analyst covering the euro bond market, acting as its 'euro advocate' for several years prior to the single currency's introduction in January 1999.
