Dresdner Bank has acquired all of the shares in Wasserstein Perella Group, the US M&A boutique, closing the acquisition that was announced in September 2000.

From January 4, Dresdner will combine Wasserstein with its own investment banking unit, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. The new entity will operate under the brand name Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW).
