DrKW gears up to run full prime brokerage

Prime brokerage will fall under equity derivatives

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) is planning to launch a full-service prime brokerage operation. The team running the new operation has been in place for a while, but until now Martin Keller and his team have been building the product as part of the bank's equity finance division. Keller and his five colleagues from ING Baring's international prime brokerage division, are now ready to run prime brokerage as a service in its own right.

Keller originally joined ING from UBS Warburg, where he was global head of prime brokerage in Zurich, to build its European business. Former colleagues Gary Francis, Simon Murray, Michael Posylkin, Andrew Brown and Jesper Bang-Jensen joined him at DrKW.
